Introduction

Apex Construction Services (“Apex Construction,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides roofing and construction services from our office at 30 Old Kings Hwy S #1001, Darien, CT 06820. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit apexconstruction.pro (the “Site”) or contact us through it, how we use that information, and the choices you have.

This policy applies to information collected through the Site, through the tools embedded on it, and through the messages you exchange with us as a result, including text messages. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here.

Information We Collect

Information you give us

When you send us a message through the contact form on our Contact page, we collect:

• Your name and email address
• Your phone number (optional, unless you ask us to text you)
• Whether you agreed to receive text messages from us, and when you agreed
• The subject and message you write to us

When you use the instant estimator on our Get a Free Quote page, the information you enter there, such as your property address, name, email address and phone number, is collected through a tool operated by Roofr (see Third-Party Services) and passed to us so we can follow up on your estimate.

We also keep records of emails, calls and text messages you exchange with us.

Information collected automatically

When you browse the Site, we and our service providers automatically collect:

• How you found us: the website that referred you, whether you came from a search engine, and any campaign tags in the link you followed (such as utm_source)
• Pages you visit: the page you landed on and a short trail of the pages you viewed before sending an inquiry
• Device and connection details: your IP address, browser type, operating system, and the date and time of your visit

We don’t ask for sensitive information such as Social Security numbers, financial account details or health information through the Site. Please don’t include it in your messages.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Respond to your inquiry and prepare the estimate or quote you asked for
• Contact you about your project, including scheduling inspections and appointments
• Send you a confirmation email when you submit our contact form
• Send you text messages, but only if you have opted in (see SMS / Text Messaging)
• Understand how visitors find the Site, so we can improve our website and marketing
• Protect the Site and our forms from spam, abuse and automated submissions, for example with a hidden spam trap, a short math question for visitors who land directly on a form, limits on repeated submissions from the same IP address and, where enabled, Google reCAPTCHA
• Comply with our legal obligations and enforce our rights

We don’t use your information to make automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.

SMS / Text Messaging

If you opt in to receive text messages from Apex Construction Services, for example by ticking the text message box on our contact form, we collect your mobile phone number together with a record of your consent, including the date and time you gave it.

We use your mobile number only to send the messages you agreed to receive: appointment scheduling and reminders, inspection and project updates, estimate follow-ups and replies to your customer support questions. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

The only exception is our SMS service providers, who process your number solely to deliver our messages to you on our behalf and may not use it for any other purpose.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

The Site uses a small number of cookies, which are small files stored by your browser:

• Session cookie: keeps the Site working as you move between pages, remembers the pages you’ve viewed during your visit (as described above) and protects our forms against forged submissions
• Security cookie: helps protect the Site and its visitors from cross-site request forgery
• Third-party cookies: the services described in the next section, such as Google reCAPTCHA, the Roofr estimator and the embedded Google Map, may set their own cookies

Our own cookies are strictly necessary for the Site to work and to keep it secure. We don’t use advertising cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the Site, such as the contact form, may then stop working.

Third-Party Services on the Site

Some features of the Site are provided by other companies, which process information under their own privacy policies:

• Roofr instant estimator. Our Get a Free Quote page embeds an estimating tool operated by Roofr. Information you enter into it is collected by Roofr and shared with us so we can prepare your estimate and contact you about it.
• Google reCAPTCHA. Where enabled, reCAPTCHA protects our forms from spam. It collects hardware and software information, such as device and application data, and sends it to Google for analysis. Its use is subject to Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
• Google Maps. Our Contact page displays an embedded Google Map. When it loads, Google may receive technical information such as your IP address and browser type.
• GAF warranty chart. Our GAF Warranty page displays a chart hosted by GAF. When you view it, GAF may receive technical information such as your IP address and browser type.

How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

We share your information only:

• With service providers who help us run our business, such as our website host, email and SMS providers, customer management software and spam protection services. They may use it only to provide those services to us.
• With subcontractors or suppliers working on your project, and only as far as needed to complete it
• For legal reasons, when required by law, subpoena or court order, or to protect our rights, property or safety, or those of others
• In a business transfer, if our business is merged, sold or reorganized, as part of that transaction
• With your consent, in any other situation where you ask us or allow us to

None of these exceptions permit sharing your mobile number or SMS opt-in data with third parties for their marketing or promotional purposes. See SMS / Text Messaging.

How Long We Keep Your Information

We keep inquiry information only as long as we need it to respond to you, carry out any project that follows, keep proper business records and meet our legal obligations. We keep records of SMS consent and opt-outs for as long as needed to show that our messages were sent with your permission.

Information about how you found us and which pages you viewed is kept only for the length of your visit, unless you submit our contact form, in which case it is saved with your inquiry. When we no longer need your information, we delete it or remove anything that identifies you.

How We Protect Your Information

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect your information. These include encrypted (HTTPS) connections, restricted access to inquiry records, and spam and abuse protection on our forms. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security.

Your Choices and Rights

You can ask us to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete
• Delete your personal information, subject to any legal requirement to keep it
• Stop contacting you. For text messages, reply STOP at any time.

Connecticut residents

Under the Connecticut Data Privacy Act, you may have the right to access, correct and delete your personal data, to get a copy of it, and to opt out of targeted advertising, the sale of your data and certain types of profiling. If we turn down your request, you can appeal by replying to our decision. If you’re unhappy with the outcome of the appeal, you can contact the Connecticut Attorney General.

California residents

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use and disclose it, and to request that it be deleted or corrected. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA.

Links to Other Websites

The Site links to other websites, such as Roofr, GAF, Google Maps and our social media pages. We aren’t responsible for their content or privacy practices, so please read their privacy policies.

Children’s Privacy

The Site is intended for adults. It isn’t directed to children under 18, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we’ll delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll post the new version on this page and change the “Last updated” date. If we make significant changes, we’ll also post a notice on the Site.
